Death Metal Racing hydraulic clutch covers for Harley Davidson 06-up models. This is for those wanting to convert their factory cable style clutch to hydraulic clutch or for those who already have a hyraulic clutch but want a much easier and smoother pull over the factory hydraulic clutch.  TC-1 PART NUMBER FITS factory 6 speed models that originally came with a cable style clutch including M8 models with a cable clutch.  (07-16 FL Models, 06-17 DYNA, 07-UP SOFTAILS including m8 Softail and bagger models that originally came with cable clutch) (EXCEPT 16-17 FLSS/FLSTFBS).  M8-1 PART NUMBER FITS 17-20 BAGGERS AND OTHER 6 SPEED MODELS WITH FACTORY HYDRAULIC CLUTCH ONLY. If you have an earlier model 6 speed twin cam or CVO twin cam model with factory hydraulic clutch, you will also need M8-1 part number because the throwout bearing is made into the clutch basket and not under the right side cover.  If the throwout bearing is on the right side of the transmission, then you need the TC-1 cover. Made from 6061 T-6 aluminum,  1.5" diameter piston, works great with OEM or 11/16in. hydraulic master cylinders, brembo radial controls, Magura, etc. Our hydraulic cover drastically improves lever feel and makes it very easy to pull compared to stock and other aftermarket covers. IF YOU WANT TO RUN THIS IN AN M8 BAGGER AND TWIN CAM ASSIST & SLIPPER CLUTCH MODELS, SOME OF THOSE COME FROM THE FACTORY WITH EXCESSIVE PLAY IN THE CLUTCH THROW-OUT BEARING.  THAT CAN AFFECT THE THROW REQUIRED FOR THE HYDRAULIC SLAVE CYLINDER TO WORK PROPERLY.  REPLACING THE CLUTCH THROW-OUT BEARING WITH THE A.I.M. Hydraulic Pressure Plate Solid Adapter With Angular Ball Bearing (PART#AM012-001) WILL ALLEVIATE  THIS PROBLEM IF YOUR BIKE CREEPS WITH THE NEW COVER.  IT WILL SEEM THE SLAVE CYLINDER ISN'T BLED ALL THE WAY BUT IT IS THE THROW OUT BEARING HAVING TOO MUCH FREEPLAY/MOVEMENT AND NOT FULLY DISENGAGING THE CLUTCH. WE COULD MAKE THE PISTON SMALLER FOR THESE MODELS LIKE OTHER BRANDS BUT THAT TAKES AWAY THE ADVANTAGE OF HAVING AN EASY PULL CLUTCH SETUP. OUR 1.5" PISTON DIAMETER MAKES PULLING THE CLUTCH VERY EASY EVEN WITH RACE CLUTCHES. These require a new line from your master cylinder to the hydraulic cover. The stock screw-in line will not work on our cover. Also older twin cam CVO models with factory hydraulic clutch may or may not need additional parts to work with our cover.  On factory cable clutch models, you will need to remove the oil slinger from the throwout bearing. This is with any brand hydraulic clutch coversion. Available in machine finish, chrome, gloss black powdercoat, wrinkle finish powdercoat, or texture black powdercoat (some pictures of the the hydraulic covers are for reference of the finish only and not the actual cover for this listing).. Powdercoat orders please allow a week to week and a half turn around time.  Made in the USA!
